RPP Nominates Laxmi Gurung as Candidate for Ilam-2 By-election
The Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP) has officially declared Laxmi Gurung as its contender for the forthcoming House of Representatives by-election in Ilam-2 constituency. The decision was confirmed by RPP spokesperson Mohan Shrestha following the party’s parliamentary committee meeting held on Thursday.
Expressing their confidence in Gurung’s suitability for the role, RPP emphasized her familiarity with the local terrain and her attentiveness to the concerns of the populace.
The by-election in Ilam-2 has been necessitated by the untimely demise of CPN-UML lawmaker Subash Chandra Nemwang, who previously represented the constituency in the House of Representatives. Scheduled for April 27, the upcoming by-election will determine the new representative for Ilam-2.
