Ruling Alliance Decides Against Collaboration with UML in Upcoming NA Election

The ruling alliance has reached a unanimous decision to abstain from any collaboration with the main opposition party in the upcoming National Assembly (NA) election. Despite recent talks between key leaders, including the Prime Minister and Chairman of CPN (Maoist Center) and President of Nepali Congress Sher Bahadur Deuba, the alliance has firmly chosen to forge its path independently.

Anticipating further developments, the alliance is scheduled to convene at 4 PM today to formalize decisions regarding their strategy for the upcoming election. This decision is of particular importance as 20 seats are set to become vacant on March 4, including representatives from various political entities: 9 from UML, 4 from Nepali Congress, 3 from Maoist Center, 3 from the Unified Socialist Party, and 1 from Janata Samajwadi Party.

The ruling coalition, comprising Nepali Congress, CPN-Maoist Center, Janata Samajwadi Party, Unified Socialist, Nagarik Unmukti Party, Janamat Party, Loktantrik Samajwadi Party, and Rastriya Janamorcha, faces the intricate challenge of navigating seat allocation amidst these political dynamics. The decision not to collaborate with the opposition sets the stage for a fierce electoral battle, with each political entity vying for its share of the vacant seats and emphasizing its distinct vision for the nation’s future.
