
Rupak Sapkota Appointed as Foreign Affairs Advisor to PM Dahal

In a recent Cabinet meeting, international relations and foreign affairs expert Rupak Sapkota has been appointed as the Foreign Affairs Advisor to Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal. Sapkota, who has been teaching international relations and diplomacy at Tribhuvan University, confirmed that he has received his letter of appointment for the position.
Before his new role, Sapkota served as the Deputy Executive Director at the Institute of Foreign Affairs. He obtained his doctorate in international relations from China’s Renmin University in 2018.
Notably, Rupak Sapkota is the son of the former speaker and Vice-chairman of CPN (Maoist Center), Agni Sapkota.
