The Socialist Front convened a crucial meeting at Singha Durbar on Wednesday morning, urging the government to expedite the enactment of laws aimed at empowering provincial governments. The primary objective is to advance the implementation of federalism, a key aspect of Nepal’s political landscape.

Janata Samajbadi Party (JSP) leader, Rajendra Shrestha, provided insights into the discussions held during the meeting. He highlighted the collective appeal made by the Socialist Front to Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda,’ urging him to take decisive measures, even if it involves the issuance of ordinances, to strengthen the provincial governments.

The meeting, which commenced at 9 am, witnessed the presence of influential political figures, including CPN (Maoist Center) Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda,’ CPN (Unified Socialist) Chairman Madhav Kumar Nepal, General Secretary Ghana Shyam Bhusal, Nepal Communist Party (NCP) General Secretary Netra Bikram Chand, Janata Samajbadi Party (JSP) Chairman Upendra Yadav, Maoist Center General Secretary Dev Gurung, Deputy General Secretary Giriraj Mani Pokharel, among other key leaders.
