Cloudy weather has settled over much of Nepal today, including the Kathmandu Valley, as a result of partial influence from westerly winds and a westerly low-pressure system moving through the region.

Meteorologist Sanjeev Adhikari shared that the weather will be partly to generally cloudy across Sudurpaschim, Karnali, Lumbini, Gandaki, and Bagmati provinces. The cloudy conditions, which began in western Nepal yesterday evening, have spread to most parts of the country by today.

For the next 24 hours, light to moderate rainfall is expected in many areas of Sudurpaschim, Karnali, and Koshi provinces. Light rain is also likely in other regions, while light to moderate snowfall could affect parts of Sudurpaschim, Karnali, and Koshi provinces, and a few areas in Gandaki and Bagmati provinces.
