Tibetan Refugees in Nepal Mark Lhosar Festival and New Year 2151

The Tibetan community, living in Nepal as refugees, celebrated the Tibetan New Year and Lhosar festival.

The Tibetan community celebrated New Year 2151 (Dagon Year) in Jawalakhel, Kathmandu on Monday morning.

The Tibetan New Year started on Saturday. Members of the Tibetan community and representatives of the diplomatic community were invited to the event, where followers worshipped a portrait of the religious leader, the Dalai Lama.

The program featured traditional Tibetan dances.

The event was attended by representatives of the diplomatic missions of Australia, Britain, and other countries.
