UML’s CC meeting underway

In Lalitpur, the Central Committee meeting of the CPN-UML is currently underway at the party headquarters in Chyasal. The focus of the meeting is on preparations for the upcoming “Jhulaghat-Chiwabhanjyang March for Prosperity,” which is set to kick off from Jhulaghat in Baitadi, with a special emphasis on the Mid-hill Highway.

In response to Durga Prasai’s protest program, the UML is gearing up for a significant demonstration in Kathmandu on November 23. This massive demonstration will be led by the Yuwa Sangh and is expected to draw widespread participation.

All eyes are on the UML meeting, with heightened anticipation surrounding the presentation by party Chairman KP Oli and the impending November 23 demonstration. The meeting, initially labeled as routine and pre-planned, may also address the upcoming demonstration, according to a senior leader.

Adding to the political tension, Prasai’s three-day demonstration, backed by a 5,000-strong force to counter interference, is anticipated to have a significant impact on the political landscape. Despite the expected discussions on the November 23 demonstration, the UML meeting is scheduled to conclude today.
