US Ambassador Discusses Bilateral Relations with Vice President
The Ambassador of the United States of America to Nepal, Dean R. Thompson, paid a courtesy call on Vice President Ram Sahay Prasad Yadav at the Office of the Vice President in Lainchour today.
During the meeting, both dignitaries engaged in discussions regarding various aspects of the bilateral relations between the United States and Nepal. Matters concerning development assistance, trade, and areas of mutual interest and concern were thoroughly deliberated upon.
Vice President Yadav took the opportunity to extend his gratitude to the US government for its ongoing support towards Nepal’s socio-economic development initiatives and for its continuous efforts in strengthening democracy within the nation.
Ambassador Thompson expressed the United States’ commitment to fostering robust ties with Nepal. He particularly commended Nepal’s commendable leadership in United Nations peacekeeping missions, underscoring the importance of Nepal’s contributions to global peace and security.
