8.45 Billion Rupees Allocated to Continue Midday Meal Program for Students

The government has officially declared the continuation of the cherished midday meal program for children attending community schools.
In an uplifting moment during the budget unveiling for the fiscal year 2023/24, Finance Minister Dr. Prakash Sharan Mahat proudly announced an allocation of 8 billion 450 million rupees to sustain this invaluable initiative.
Minister Mahat, addressing a joint meeting of both houses of the Federal Parliament, emphasized the paramount importance of providing nourishment to students without compromising their well-being. Consequently, the midday meal program will refrain from serving any unhealthy junk food.
