President Paudel noted that Udhauli marks the seasonal migration of people, animals, and birds from highlands to lower lands as winter sets in. The festival is also an occasion to offer newly harvested crops to ancestors and pray to the land for prosperity and wellbeing.
He further emphasized that Udhauli fosters communal harmony among Nepal’s diverse ethnic groups while promoting familial, communal, and societal unity.
Udhauli, a centuries-old tradition, continues to symbolize gratitude, reverence for nature, and the strengthening of bonds within Nepal’s multicultural landscape.
