Ayodhya Welcomes 500 Devotees Bearing 3,000 Gifts from Sita’s Home in Nepal
In a heartwarming display of devotion, nearly 500 devotees from Nepal have arrived in Ayodhya, bringing with them a celestial offering for Lord Shri Ram and Mata Janaki. The grand Bhar (Sanesh) Yatra, orchestrated by the Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP), witnessed a joyous reception as these pilgrims reached Ayodhya from the revered Janakpur Dham Ram Janaki Temple in Nepal.
The devoted entourage has presented a consignment of over 3,000 special gifts, including monetary contributions, clothes, fruits, sweets, and precious metals such as gold and silver, symbolizing their deep reverence for the deities.
Champat Rai, the General Secretary of the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust, personally extended a warm welcome to the Nepali devotees at Karsevakpuram in Ayodhya. The visit holds special significance as Janakpur is considered the maternal home of Mother Sita and the ‘in-laws’ of Lord Shri Ram.
Expressing their gratitude, the devotees conveyed their sense of privilege in witnessing the construction of the birthplace of their revered son-in-law. They eagerly anticipate the grand enthronement ceremony scheduled for January 22, marking a historic moment in their spiritual journey.
Champat Rai graciously accepted the offerings on behalf of Shri Ram and Mata Janaki, emphasizing the profound spiritual connection that unites Nepal and India. He described this relationship as timeless and rooted in the essence of the soul, reflecting the shared cultural heritage of the two nations.
As Ayodhya prepares for the momentous occasion, the city resonates with the spirit of devotion and anticipation, fostering a cross-border celebration of faith and cultural unity. The presence of the Nepali devotees adds a poignant chapter to the ongoing saga of the construction of the Ram Janmabhoomi, symbolizing the enduring ties between the two nations.
