Bal Krishna Khand Back in Action: Engages Colleagues at Congress Meet

Bal Krishna Khand, the Former Minister of Defence and Ministry of Home Affairs in Nepal, who was recently released on bail in the fake Bhutanese refugee case, made a notable appearance at the Central Committee meeting of the Nepali Congress today.

Khand, an influential leader within the Congress, was seen actively engaging in discussions with his colleagues at the meeting venue. This marks his return to active political participation after facing legal issues related to the alleged involvement in the case of fake Bhutanese refugees.

Arrested on Baisakh 27 last year, Khand spent a considerable period in legal proceedings before being granted bail on Mangsir 29. The leader, known for his political influence, had been absent from party activities for a year due to the legal complications.

Khand’s return to the Nepali Congress office comes after a prolonged absence, and his presence at the second day of the Central Committee meeting held at the Sanepa party office is seen as a significant reintegration into the party’s decision-making processes.

It is worth noting that Khand couldn’t attend the first day of the meeting as he had to undergo a regular health check-up. His participation in today’s session signals a resumption of his political activities within the party, sparking discussions about the impact of his return on the internal dynamics of the Nepali Congress.
