Chitwan Police Urges Public Caution Amid Investigation

The District Police Office in Chitwan has issued a call for restraint amidst ongoing investigations into the tragic demise of a 14-year-old student from Ekata Shishu Niketan Boarding School in Ratnanagar Municipality. Authorities have urged the public not to circulate any materials that could potentially sway the course of the investigation.

Deputy Superintendent of Police (DySP) Sriram Bhandari, acting as the spokesperson for the office, released a statement on Saturday emphasizing the importance of refraining from disseminating information that could prejudice the investigation. The statement highlighted that crucial forensic test reports are still pending, underscoring the need for caution in discussions surrounding the case.

In the statement, the Nepal Police reiterated their commitment to handling the sensitive matter with the utmost professionalism and diligence, in accordance with legal protocols. “We assure the victim’s family and the public that our investigation will be thorough, impartial, and based on scientific evidence,” the statement affirmed.

The District Police Office expressed concern over the proliferation of potentially biased information circulating on various social media platforms and in the media.
