Election System Must Change to Ensure Stability, Says Speaker Ghimire

Speaker of the House of Representatives, Devraj Ghimire, has emphasized the need to reform the electoral system to ensure government stability.

Addressing a press meet organized by the Nepal Journalist Federation’s Palpa branch on Saturday, Speaker Ghimire expressed concerns that the current electoral framework fails to facilitate a stable, permanent government.

“A simpler election system is needed where one party can secure a majority,” he stated, underscoring the urgency of revising the current election process.
