Curfew Imposed in Nepalgunj Sub-Metropolitan City

The District Administration Office Banke has instituted an indefinite curfew in Nepalgunj sub-metropolitan city.
Chief District Officer Bipin Acharya made the announcement, effective from 1 pm on Tuesday. The decision follows a series of incidents that have stoked tensions within the city in recent days.
In a proactive response, the administration initiated an all-party meeting to address the situation and promote harmony among the Hindu and Muslim communities. The aim is to foster dialogue and understanding between the two groups.
Furthermore, a unity rally took place in Nepalgunj on Tuesday morning as part of these efforts to promote peace and mutual respect within the city. Authorities are actively working towards restoring calm and ensuring the safety of all residents during this challenging time.
