Daily Life Disrupted as Cold Wave Tightens Its Hold on Sunsari

Normal life in Sunsari has come to a standstill in recent days as a biting cold wave envelops the district, accompanied by thick fog, causing significant disruptions. The harsh weather is taking a toll on the low-income population residing in various areas, including Inaruwa, Bhokraha, Koshi, Gadhi, Duhabi, Ramdhuni, Itahari, Dharan, Barahakshetra, Harinagar, and Devangunj.

Daily wage earners, in particular, are facing considerable challenges in carrying out outdoor work, as stated by Bhatai Sada of Koshi rural municipality-6. The plummeting temperatures have left many struggling to cope with the adverse conditions.

In a commendable effort to address the urgent needs of the affected population, the Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Inaruwa, took a proactive step on Sunday. The Chamber, under the leadership of President Birendra Kumar Shah, initiated the distribution of blankets to those most in need. The assistance materials were provided through the collaborative efforts of the Chamber and the District Administration Office, Sunsari.

President Birendra Kumar Shah expressed the importance of community support during challenging times and highlighted the significance of such initiatives in ensuring the well-being of the local population. The distribution of blankets aims to provide much-needed warmth and relief to those grappling with the unforgiving cold.

As the cold wave persists, the local community looks forward to more such initiatives that bring solace to the vulnerable sections of the population, helping them endure the challenging weather conditions. The collaborative efforts of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Inaruwa, stand as a testament to the power of community solidarity in times of adversity.
