Dharche landslide: Bodies of four missing persons recovered
The bodies of four persons who were missing since being buried in a landslide that occurred at Singla village of Dharche Rural Municipality-5 in Gorkha district on Sunday have been recovered today.
Of the five persons missing in the landslide, the body of 27-year-old Ramesh Pariyar of Arughat Rural Municipality is yet to be found. Police personnel have continued the search operation for Pariyar.
Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) at the District Police Office, Ramesh Kumar Shrestha said that the body of 70-year-old Sulal Kanchha Gurung was recovered from near his house.
Likewise, the bodies of Jeet Bahadur Gurung, Kanchi Gurung and Resham Gurung were also recovered at 3:00 pm today.
However, the body of Kanchhi Gurung was recovered from the banks of the Budhigandaki River near Barkheghat in Gandaki Rural Municipality-8.
Kanchhi’s body was found on Sunday afternoon but the family confirmed her identity on Monday.
