
Enhanced Facilities for Devotees Visiting Pashupatinath on Mahashivaratri


Minister for Culture, Tourism, and Civil Aviation, Badri Prasad Pandey, has assured that devotees visiting Pashupatinath Temple for the upcoming Mahashivaratri festival will be provided with maximum facilities.
Speaking to the media after inspecting ongoing preparations at the Pashupati area on Thursday morning, Minister Pandey emphasized that efforts are being made to ensure a smooth experience for devotees arriving from across the world to worship on February 26.
As the Chairperson of the Pashupati Area Development Trust (PADT) Board, Pandey highlighted ongoing coordination with relevant authorities to expedite water pipeline installations in the area to minimize inconvenience to visitors during the festival. He also called for cooperation from government agencies, social organizations, and individuals in facilitating festival preparations.
During his visit, the minister inspected key locations within the Pashupati area, including Bankali, Bhuwaneshwari, the Ghat area, Ram Temple, Mrigasthali, and Bishwaroop.
PADT officials, including Member-Secretary Dr. Milan Kumar Thapa and Treasurer Narayan Prasad Subedi, briefed the minister on the ongoing preparations.
To oversee the arrangements, a 201-member Main Celebration Committee has been formed under Minister Pandey’s leadership, along with nine thematic sub-committees dedicated to specific aspects of the festival’s organization.
