EU to assist Nepal in constitution enforcement, federal governance

Newly appointed European Union (EU) ambassador to Nepal, Veronique Lorenzo has said the EU would continue its support for Nepal’s development including in the enforcement of the Constitution and the federal governance system.

Talking to the media here today, the envoy also expressed her commitment to assisting Nepal in achieving prosperity, ensuring continuity of its assistance to Nepal in the areas of quality education, climate change, sustainable development, promotion of the energy sector, improvement of the human rights and for building an equitable society.

Recalling the decision of the EU, in the capacity of Nepal’s significant development partner, to provide Nepal with 300 billion Euros till 2026 under the five-year plan, the ambassador hoped for wider cooperation and collaborations from all sides to achieve the programme targets.
