Five Bangladeshis arrested for overstaying in Nepal

Police have today made public five Bangladeshi nationals who were staying illegally in Nepal even after the expiry of their visa terms.

They are identified as Md Rifat Ahamed, 26; Md Abdullah, 23; Md Samsual Hoda, 45; Abdul Biswas, 30; and Md Masum Miah, 36, according to Superintendent of Police Nakul Pokharel, the Information Officer at the Kathmandu Valley Crime Investigation Office.

They were apprehended from Sohrakhutte based on information suggesting their illegal stay in Nepal and involvement in suspicious activities, shared Pokharel.

Among them, Biswas and Miah were arrested on March 22, while the remaining three were apprehended on Monday. The detained Bangladeshi nationals have been transferred to the Department of Immigration in Kalikasthan for necessary investigation and action.
