Foreign Minister Urges Qatari Ambassador to Take Immediate Action for Bipin Joshi’s Release

In a renewed plea, Foreign Minister Narayan Prakash Saud has urged the Qatari government to take immediate initiatives for the release of Bipin Joshi, a Nepali citizen from Kanchanpur, whose whereabouts remain unknown in Israel. Minister Saud’s appeal comes amidst rising tensions between Israel and the rebel group Hamas.

During a meeting at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on Tuesday, Minister Saud pressed Qatar’s ambassador, Mishal Mohammad Ali Al-Ansari, to take all necessary measures to secure the release of Joshi, believed to be under the control of the rebel Hamas. The Qatari ambassador assured that the government is actively working to prevent further hostilities between Israel and Hamas, and ongoing efforts are in place for the release of abducted individuals, including Nepali student Bipin Joshi.

Ambassador Al-Ansari revealed that diplomatic efforts are underway to halt the renewed conflict between Israel and Hamas and facilitate the release of prisoners. The situation between the two parties remains complex, but Qatar is actively seeking another ceasefire and working towards the release of abducted individuals.

This follows an earlier request by Minister Saud to Qatar’s Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, Sultan bin Saad Al Muraikhi, to initiate efforts for Bipin Joshi’s release. Additionally, Minister Saud engaged with Israel’s ambassador, Hanan Godar, on November 23, discussing the urgent matter of Joshi’s release.

In an upcoming diplomatic move, Foreign Minister NP Saud is scheduled to visit Qatar on December 9. His primary focus during this visit will be diplomatic efforts for the release of Bipin Joshi. Concurrently, Minister Saud is set to participate in the 21st Doha Forum, commencing on December 10, where discussions on regional matters are expected to take place over the two-day event.
