Foreign Ministry announces Shrestha’s China visit

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has confirmed the forthcoming visit of Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Narayan Kaji Shrestha to China. This visit comes in response to an invitation extended by Wang Yi, a member of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China Central Committee and the foreign minister of the People’s Republic of China.

Scheduled from March 24 to April 1, Shrestha’s itinerary includes a bilateral meeting with Foreign Minister Wang Yi on March 26, as outlined in a statement released by the ministry on Friday.

During his stay, Shrestha will engage with key figures across Beijing and other provinces, fostering diplomatic ties and addressing mutual interests. The visit, endorsed during a recent Cabinet meeting, underscores Nepal’s commitment to strengthening relations with its northern neighbor.

Deputy Prime Minister Shrestha is expected to return to Kathmandu on April 1 following his diplomatic engagements in China.
