Former FNCCI President Rana Appointed Honorary Consul of Tunisia to Nepal

Bhawani Rana, the former president of the Federation of Nepalese Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FNCCI), has been designated as the honorary consul of Tunisia to Nepal. The appointment was made official during a ceremony held at a hotel in Kathmandu on Thursday, where Rana received her letter of appointment from Hayet Talbi EP Bilel, the non-resident ambassador of Tunisia to Nepal.

Expressing her enthusiasm upon receiving the appointment, Rana highlighted her commitment to fostering closer ties between the two nations. She pledged to contribute to the growth of tourism and promote social and economic development in both countries. Additionally, Rana emphasized the potential for further expanding bilateral trade between Nepal and Tunisia.

Rana also noted the strategic advantage of Tunisia’s geographical location, as it serves as a gateway to European countries. She believes this geographical proximity will facilitate Nepal’s efforts to enhance its trade relations with Europe. During the program, Ambassador EP Bilel expressed his views on the possibility of mutual investments in various sectors such as agriculture, tourism, energy, and others between Nepal and Tunisia.
