Former Speaker Krishna Bahadur Mahara Arrested in Kapilvastu

Krishna Bahadur Mahara, vice president of CPN Maoist Center and former Speaker of the Assembly, has been apprehended by authorities.

Sources from the Central Bureau of Investigation (CIB) confirmed Mahara’s arrest in Kapilvastu.

The arrest follows recommendations outlined in the investigation commission’s report concerning the gold scandal. Mahara is expected to be transported to Kathmandu via Yeti Air for further proceedings.
