Gold Smuggling Case: CIB Chief Announces Ongoing Inquiry and Upcoming Actions

The Central Bureau of Investigation (CIB) has revealed its decision to reopen the investigation into the high-profile 60 kg gold smuggling case. CIB Chief and Additional Inspector General of Police Kiran Bajracharya made this announcement, stating that the inquiry will resume in the coming days. Furthermore, Bajracharya confirmed that a supplementary charge sheet would be prepared, incorporating the accused individuals in the case.

Addressing the media, Bajracharya stated, “Even though we are on the verge of submitting the investigation report, the investigation has not reached its conclusion. We will be conducting a renewed investigation, followed by the submission of a supplementary charge sheet.”
