Government Prioritizes Bagmati River Water Flow in Summer

the government has unveiled its policy and programme for the fiscal year 2081/082 BS, with a significant focus on the water flow of the Bagmati River even during the summer months.

President Ramchandra Paudel, while presenting the government’s plans, emphasized the importance of managing water flow in the Bagmati River corridor. The policy aims to implement strategies to recharge the Bagmati River water system, ensuring a consistent flow throughout the year.

This initiative is expected to mitigate the adverse effects of water scarcity, especially during the dry season, and promote environmental conservation along the Bagmati River basin.
