Police have arrested an Indian national of Chinese origin along with large amount from Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA).
Thinle Chhoden who arrived from Sichuan Province was arrested from the airport, according to Office Chief and Deputy Inspector General of Police, Arjun Chand Thakuri.
Police confiscated 16,420 US dollar, 54,451 Chinese Yuan and 5,000 Indian rupees with unidentified sources from him. The man was about to leave for Delhi from TIA as he was caught by the police, it is said. He has been kept at the Police Circle Gaushala for further investigations into matter.
The amount confiscated from the passenger is amounted to Rs 3.15 million, it is said. (RSS)
