India’s Prez, PM pay homage to Mahatma Gandhi on death anniversary

India’s President Droupadi Murmu and Prime Minister Narendra Modi led a solemn ceremony at Rajghat on Tuesday, commemorating the death anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi. In a poignant moment of reflection, a two-minute silence was observed for the Father of the Nation, marking the 73rd anniversary of his assassination on January 30, 1948.

Prime Minister Modi took to social media to express his tribute, stating, “I pay homage to Pujya Bapu on his Punya Tithi. I also pay homage to all those who have been martyred for our nation. Their sacrifices inspire us to serve the people and fulfill their vision for our nation.”
