Lawmaker Sunil Sharma Arrested by CIB, Reasons Remain Undisclosed

 

The Central Investigation Bureau (CIB) of Nepal Police apprehended Nepali Congress (NC) lawmaker Sunil Sharma on Thursday, sending shockwaves through the political landscape. Despite the high-profile arrest, authorities have chosen to remain tight-lipped about the exact grounds for Sharma’s detainment.

Sharma, who represents Morang-3 in the House of Representatives following his victory in the November 22 election, was taken into custody without a clear explanation from the police.
