Maoists’ leaders set to depart for China

The leaders of the Communist Party of Nepal (CPN) Maoist Center are set to embark on a visit to China aimed at exchanging experiences and building relations between the two countries.

Led by Agni Prasad Sapkota, former Speaker and Vice Chairman of the Maoist Center, the team of about 20 leaders will depart for China on Friday, according to a source at the Central Office of the Maoist Center in Parisdanda.

The visiting team is expected to include the heads of Maoists’ grassroots organizations and Province Chairpersons, as they engage in discussions and meetings with their counterparts in China.

Earlier, a team of CPN-UML leaders returned from a visit to China.
