
Nepal-Myanmar Consultative Mechanism Gears Up for Second Meeting in Myanmar


The second meeting of the bilateral consultative mechanism, established between the foreign ministries of Nepal and Myanmar, is scheduled to take place in Myanmar next month. This consultative mechanism has been put in place with the primary objective of strengthening the diplomatic relations that exist between the two nations.
Ambassador of Myanmar to Nepal, Sein Oo, shared this news during a gathering held on the occasion of the 13th Annual General Assembly of the Nepal-Myanmar Chamber of Commerce and Industry in the capital city on Friday. Ambassador Sein also expressed his active involvement in promoting trade, investment, tourism, and cultural exchange between Nepal and Myanmar.
The President of the Chamber, Shiva Kumar Agarwal, urged Ambassador Sein to initiate direct flights between Gautam Buddha International Airport and Myanmar. He also called for enhanced cooperation to foster bilateral trade, investment, and tourism development.
The upcoming meeting of the consultative mechanism holds the potential to further strengthen the diplomatic ties and cooperation between Nepal and Myanmar in various sectors.
