Nepali Congress Party Flag to Fly at Half-Mast for 3 Days

In an emergency meeting convened at the party central office in Sanepa this morning, The Nepali Congress (NC) made a solemn decision to fly the party flag at half-mast for three days following the passing of revered leader Keshav Kumar Budhathoki.

The gesture of respect will be observed not only at the central office but also at state and district offices, showcasing the deep reverence the party holds for Budhathoki’s legacy.

During the meeting, a condolence resolution was unanimously passed, reflecting the profound sorrow felt within the party over the loss of central member and former minister Budhathoki.

As a mark of respect, all scheduled programs have been postponed, and central, state, and district offices will remain closed on February 7, allowing party members to mourn and pay their respects.

To provide an avenue for collective remembrance, the Nepali Congress has arranged for a condolence book to be available in central, state, and district offices until the 13th day of Budhathoki’s death.

Expressing deep sadness and shock over his untimely demise, the Nepali Congress emphasized Budhathoki’s active and memorable contributions to the party’s rich history, underscoring the profound impact he had on shaping the party’s ethos and values.

Budhathoki passed away last night while undergoing treatment at Birat Medical College in Biratnagar, leaving behind a legacy that will be cherished by the Nepali Congress and the nation at large.
