
Nepali Congress to support Maoist’s Aryal for National Assembly Vice Chair

The largest party, Nepali Congress (NC) is not going to nominate a candidate for the post of National Assembly Vice Chairperson.
The party has decided to support Maoist Centre’s candidate Urmila Aryal for the post.
The decision comes after the parliamentary committee meeting held this morning at Dhumbarahi, the rented residence of party President Sher Bahadur Deuba.
NC Chief Whip Ramesh Lekhak said that the meeting decided to to support the Maoist candidate.
The ruling alliance is preparing to nominate Urmila Aryal from CPN (Maoist Centre) as the Vice Chairperson of the National Assembly.
Aryal’s chances to be elected unopposed gone high as the largest opposition party with 89 seats in Parliament is not not nominating its candidates.
