UML’s Bhim Rawal May Quit Party Over Internal Disputes

Dr Bhim Rawal, a senior leader of the Communist Party of Nepal-Unified Marxist Leninist (CPN-UML), expressed on Thursday that he is contemplating leaving the party, citing internal conflicts and exclusion from party activities.

During a press interaction in Kathmandu, Rawal revealed that his political journey has reached a critical juncture. “I have been sidelined due to the politics of prohibition within the party,” Rawal stated, referring to his treatment at recent party events.

He specifically mentioned his exclusion from the Godavari and district conventions, attributing these actions to his previous challenge against KP Sharma Oli for the party chairmanship at the 10th General Convention in Chitwan.

“The exclusion from participating in my home district of Achham and not being allowed at the Godavari convention because they did not issue my identification card has pushed me to reconsider my path in politics,” Rawal disclosed.

The leader announced that he will soon make a decision public regarding his future political direction, signaling a potential shake-up within the ranks of CPN-UML.
