Nepal’s Communist Party (Maoist Centre) Delegation to Visit India under “Know BJP” Initiative

In a bid to strengthen ties and foster mutual understanding between the ruling party of Nepal, Communist Party of Nepal (Maoist Centre), and the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) of India, a five-member delegation from CPN (Maoist Centre) is on a visit to India under the “Know BJP” initiative.

The visit, scheduled from 23rd to 28th July 2023, marks a significant step towards promoting party-to-party interactions and sharing insights on political visions and mechanisms.

The delegation, led by Vice President Ms. Pampha Bhusal, arrived in Delhi, where they were warmly received at the airport by Dr. Vijay Chauthaiwale, the Chief of BJP’s foreign department.

The delegation includes CPN (Maoist Centre) secretary Chakarapani Khanal, standing committee member Satya Pahadi, and central committee members Rameshwor Yadav and Suresh Kumar Rai.

During their stay in India, the delegates will hold crucial meetings with Shri Jagat Prakash Nadda, the National President of BJP, and other senior party leaders. This presents a unique opportunity for constructive dialogues, providing both parties with a platform to exchange ideas and understand each other’s principles and functioning.

As part of their visit, the delegation will undertake a two-day tour to Uttarakhand, where they are set to engage with the state’s Chief minister, Pushkar Singh Dhami, and other prominent BJP state functionaries.

The “Know BJP” initiative was launched during the 43rd Foundation Day of the Bharatiya Janata Party, signifying the party’s proactive approach to expand its outreach beyond national borders and establish stronger connections with political counterparts from neighboring countries.

This visit holds the promise of nurturing deeper mutual understanding between the Communist Party of Nepal (Maoist Centre) and the Bharatiya Janata Party, fostering amicable relations and collaboration between the two nations in the pursuit of common goals.
