New Sports Minister sets new standard with 18-hour workday commitment

The newly appointed Minister of Youth and Sports, Dig Bahadur Limbu, has expressed his unwavering commitment to addressing the challenges faced by players and officials in the sports field. Following his assumption of office on Thursday, he delivered a media statement in which he pledged to devote 18 hours per day to the responsibilities of the sports ministry.

Minister Limbu also emphasized the importance of being visible and comprehending the viewpoints of various stakeholders. He stressed the need for optimism and applauded the capabilities of Nepali players. He stated his conviction in the value of hard work, affirming his dedication to providing unwavering support to players. “I am a person who believes in work, and I will do everything in my power to support the players. I will work for 18 hours to make sure that the sports sector develops in the right way.”

The Minister outlined his priority to develop the physical and infrastructural aspects of the sports sector, recognizing the need to address the deficiencies experienced by players and officials. “There is still a lack of overall development in the sports sector, especially in terms of physical and infrastructure development. I will prioritize addressing these issues to ensure the sector flourishes,” he said.
