No Definitive Agendas Yet for PM Dahal’s China Trip

Foreign Minister NP Saud disclosed that none of the agendas for Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal’s upcoming visit to China have been finalized. Instead, the focus will be on actionable work proposals, he emphasized during a meeting of the International Relations Committee on Thursday morning.

“As of the present moment, no agendas have been definitively settled,” declared Foreign Minister Saud. He further explained, “Various ministries continue to submit proposals through the Ministry of Finance. Our approach is to prioritize workable proposals rather than assembling an extensive list. Currently, no agendas have reached the conclusive stage.”

Prime Minister Dahal is scheduled to depart for New York on September 16, 2023, and will then embark on his visit to China on September 21, 2023. Foreign Minister Saud revealed that he and the Foreign Secretary are actively discussing and crafting the visit’s agenda. They have convened meetings with secretaries from various ministries, former foreign ministers, and ambassadors to ensure comprehensive preparations for the visit.
