
PM Dahal, UML Chair Oli meet, agree for meeting of high-level political mechanism


Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ and CPN (UML) Chairperson, KP Sharma Oli, held a meeting today. Prime Minister and Chairperson of the CPN (Maoist Centre) Dahal reached Bhaktapur to meet with former Prime Minister and Chair of major ruling partner, Oli.
During the meeting held at the Oli’s Balkot-based private residence, the two agreed for a meeting of a high-level political mechanism and discuss about the upcoming Presidential election.
Following the meeting, Prime Minister Dahal said, “We have agreed to arrange a meeting of the high-level political mechanism and discuss about the Presidential elections tomorrow. Our efforts will be for finding a convenient way ahead.”
During the meeting, UML Chair Oli asserted that the Presidential post should be given to the party as per the previous agreement, adding that the party would finalize the candidate’s name after intra-party discussions, according to Oli’s Secretariat.
