PM Dahal’s Upcoming China Visit Confirmed by MoFA

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA) has confirmed Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal’s forthcoming visit to China. The seven-day diplomatic trip is scheduled from September 23rd to September 30th.

Prime Minister Dahal’s visit to China is in response to the invitation extended by his Chinese counterpart, Li Qiang. Accompanying him will be a prominent delegation, including his daughter Ganga Dahal, Minister of Foreign Affairs NP Saud, Minister of Water Supply Mahindra Rayee Yadav, and Minister of Physical Infrastructure and Transport Prakash Jwala.

In addition to these ministers, National Security Adviser Shankardas Bairagi and Vice Chairman of the National Planning Commission Min Bahadur Shrestha, along with other senior government officials and representatives from the business community, will be part of the delegation.

During his visit, Prime Minister Dahal has a series of significant engagements planned, including meetings with Chinese President Xi Jinping in Hangzhou and a bilateral discussion with Prime Minister Li Qiang. He will also engage in discussions with Zhao Leji, Chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People’s Congress in Beijing.

Moreover, Prime Minister Dahal is slated to address the China-Nepal Investment Conference, jointly organized by the Nepali Embassy in Beijing. Additionally, he will be present at the opening ceremony of the 19th Asian Games in Hangzhou on September 23rd.

The Prime Minister’s itinerary extends to a visit to Chongqing Municipality to gain insights into China’s agricultural and industrial development. He will also venture to Lhasa, the Tibet Autonomous Region of China, which shares a border with Nepal.
