PM Prachanda Inspects Nepali Embassy in Abu Dhabi During COP-28 Visit

Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ arrived in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) on Thursday to partake in the 28th Conference of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP-28). The Prime Minister’s visit includes not only participation in the global climate summit but also an inspection visit to the Nepali Embassy in Abu Dhabi.

During his visit to the embassy, Prime Minister Prachanda directed officials to enhance the efficiency of services offered to the Nepali community while also taking stock of initiatives undertaken in their interest.

Accompanied by a delegation from Nepal, the Prime Minister landed at Dubai International Airport at 1:30 am (local time) on Thursday. Upon arrival, he was warmly received by Nepali Ambassador to the UAE Tej Bahadur Chhetri and UAE Ambassador to Nepal Abdullah M. Shamsi.

Later in the day, Prime Minister Prachanda is scheduled to address a program organized by the Federation of Nepalese Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Dubai Chapter, enhancing diplomatic ties and fostering economic discussions.

The COP28, a crucial global event focusing on climate change, is set to take place in Dubai from November 30 to December 12. Prime Minister Prachanda is slated to participate in the high-level session of COP28, known as the World Climate Action Summit, scheduled from December 1 to 2.

On December 2, Prime Minister Prachanda will deliver a high-level session address before returning to Nepal the following day, concluding his participation in this vital global initiative.
