Poonam Pandey Reveals She Faked Her Death for Cervical Cancer Awareness

In a shocking turn of events, actor and ‘Lock Upp’ fame Poonam Pandey has revealed that she faked her own death as part of a campaign to raise awareness about cervical cancer. The news of her demise had spread like wildfire, causing a frenzy among fans and the media.

Pandey took to Instagram to clarify the situation, sharing a video where she announced, “I feel compelled to share something significant with you all – I am here, alive. Cervical Cancer didn’t claim me.” She apologized for any distress caused and explained that her stunt was aimed at shedding light on the importance of cervical cancer awareness.

In a subsequent Instagram post, Poonam Pandey emphasized the preventability of cervical cancer through the HPV vaccine and early detection tests. She urged followers to empower one another with critical awareness and ensure every woman is informed about the steps to take. In a personalized video on Instagram, Pandey further clarified, “I am alive. I didn’t die because of cervical cancer. Unfortunately, I cannot say that about those hundreds and thousands of women who have lost their lives because of cervical cancer.”

On Friday, a post was shared on Pandey’s official Instagram handle suggesting her demise due to cervical cancer, and her media manager, Parul Chawla, also confirmed the news at that time.

Following Pandey’s revelation of faking her death, she faced backlash on social media for the unconventional awareness approach. Some criticized her for making light of a serious topic, while others questioned the choice of such a method to raise awareness.
