PPMO Blacklists Five Companies for Irregularities

In a major move towards ensuring transparency and accountability in public procurement processes, the Public Procurement Monitoring Office (PPMO) under the Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers has taken decisive action by blacklisting five companies for various periods.

Bharat Construction/ Mainachuli/ Siddhisai JV Putlisadak has faced the most severe consequence, being blacklisted for a substantial three-year period. The primary figureheads of this joint venture include Rajiv Gurga from Bharat Construction, Madan Kumar Adhikari from Mainachuli Construction Services Pvt Ltd, and Dipendra Bahadur Shahi from Siddhisai Prakash Construction Pvt Ltd.

Similarly, Mainachuli-Siddhisai JV New Baneshwar is subjected to a two-year blacklisting period, marking a significant setback for the involved entities.

Sherpa/ Hena/ Sunami JV Vidur-7 Nuwakot, led by Furtemba Sherpa, Ganesh Bahadur Basnet, and Post Bahadur Bogati respectively, faces a one-year blacklist.

Furthermore, Karsang Construction and Suppliers under the leadership of Bikram Tamang and Izone Construction Services headed by Hari Ram Bohara also find themselves blacklisted for a one-year duration.

During the specified blacklisting period, these companies are prohibited from participating in any public procurement process, emphasizing the commitment of the PPMO to maintain the integrity of public procurement procedures.

The PPMO’s action underscores the government’s determination to weed out corruption and malpractices in public procurement, sending a strong message to companies engaging in unethical practices. The move is expected to contribute significantly to fostering a fair and competitive business environment in the country. The blacklisting decisions were made following a thorough investigation into alleged irregularities and violations of procurement guidelines.
