The Pran Pratishtha ceremony at the Ram Mandir in Ayodhya concluded at approximately 1:05 pm today. The sanctum sanctorum saw the esteemed presence of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, and RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat, marking the culmination of a historic moment for the holy town.
Despite the biting cold, religious fervor enveloped Ayodhya as enthusiasts braved the weather to witness the sacred ceremony. As the consecration concluded, the town reverberated with joy as Lord Ram was welcomed into the newly consecrated temple. Army helicopters added to the celebration by showering flowers over the sacred site.
The main yajman of the ceremony, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, led the proceedings during the auspicious Mool Muhurat on Monday. The ceremony commenced at 12:20 pm and concluded around 1 pm, with approximately 7,000 VVIPs from various walks of life present, including actors, politicians, sportspersons, and industrialists.
Ahead of the ceremony, Prime Minister Modi observed a strict 11-day Anushthan, involving austere practices such as sleeping on the floor and consuming only coconut water. His spiritual journey also included visits to several temples across India, culminating in a holy dip at the Rameswaram ‘Angi theerth’ beach.
Following the completion of the Pran Pratishtha ceremony, Prime Minister Modi is scheduled to address a public event in Ayodhya, marking the beginning of a new chapter in the history of the sacred town.
