Rabi Lamichhane Returns from Asia Cup, Pledges Support for Nepali Cricket

Rabi Lamichhane, the President of the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP), returned from his visit to Sri Lanka where he attended the Asia Cup. Upon his arrival at Tribhuwan International Airport on Wednesday, Lamichhane spoke to the media about his experience and his plans to boost cricket in Nepal.

Lamichhane praised the performance of Nepali cricket players, acknowledging their dedication and determination despite facing tough conditions and limited resources. He expressed pride in witnessing a historic moment during the Asia Cup match between Nepal and India, emphasizing the immense potential of cricket in Nepal.

As a show of his commitment to the sport, Lamichhane pledged to use his position to bolster the morale of Nepali cricket players. He stated, “It is not impossible to build a cricket stadium. However, the government and officials tend to act only when players achieve good results. We are actively formulating policies for cricket development and will support it from our end. We will also raise this matter in parliament.”
