RSP Urges Prime Minister to Address Map Issue During Upcoming China Visit

In preparation for his forthcoming diplomatic visits to the United States and China, Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal Prachanda has received a set of seven written recommendations from the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP).

On Sunday, PM Prachanda engaged in consultations with former prime ministers, former foreign ministers, and leaders of various parliamentary parties. During these discussions held at the Prime Minister’s Office in Singha Darbar, RSP leaders presented a comprehensive seven-point proposal to address critical national concerns.

RSP Vice-president DP Aryal emphasized the significance of ensuring that the public is well-informed about the map issue, allowing for a comprehensive understanding of the matter. Despite Nepal’s recent publication of a new map that incorporates Kalapani, Lipulekh, and Limpiyadhura, China’s recent map still displays Nepal’s previous borders.

The RSP has advised Prime Minister Prachanda to prioritize this issue as a key agenda item during his upcoming visit to China. This move aims to seek resolution and clarification regarding the ongoing border disputes and discrepancies in map representations.
