Sudurpaschim Chief Minister Sodari to Seek Vote of Confidence on May 3

Dirgha Bahadur Sodari, the Chief Minister of Sudurpaschim Province, will seek a vote of confidence in the Provincial Assembly this coming Friday, May 3. The decision was made following a joint meeting of the ruling coalition parties at the office of the Chief Minister and Council of Ministers on Tuesday.

Man Bahadur Dhami, leader of the Maoist Central Province Parliamentary Party, confirmed that the coalition agreed on the date during their discussion. Additionally, as part of the coalition’s restructuring, the Nagarik Unmukti Party will receive an additional ministry, specifically the Ministry of Land Management, Agriculture, and Cooperatives.

The meeting saw participation from various coalition partners, including the UML, underscoring a unified front ahead of the vote. Chief Minister Sodari initially took office with backing from several parties, including CPN-UML, Maoist Center, and the Nagarik Unmukti Party.

The upcoming vote of confidence is a key moment for the Chief Minister, whose leadership has been crucial in maintaining coalition unity in the province.
