Tanzania Sets 116-run Target for Nepal in Women’s T20 Series

In a match held at the Hong Kong Cricket Club, Tanzania has set a target of 116 runs for Nepal in the ongoing women’s four-nation T20 Series in Hong Kong.

Winning the toss and electing to bat, Tanzania managed to score 115 runs in their allotted 20 overs, losing seven wickets in the process. Key contributors for Tanzania included Hudda Omary with 25 runs, Aisha Mohamed with 21, Saum Mtae with 16, captain Fatuma Kibasu with 11, and Monica Pascal with 10. Nepal’s bowling effort was led by Sangita Rai, who took two wickets, while Rubina Chhetri, Puja Mahato, and captain Indu Barma each claimed one wicket.

In response, Nepal faced a challenging task, scoring 19 runs against Tanzania in six overs while losing five wickets. The Nepali cricket squad for the match includes captain Indu Barma along with Bindu Rawal, Rubina Chhetri, Sita Ranamagar, Asmina Karmacharya, Kajol Shrestha, Kanchan Shrestha, Khusi Dangol, Sangita Rai, Soni Pakhrin, Somu Bista, Puja Mahato, Roma Thapa, and Samjhana Khadka. The team is coached by Manoj Katuwal.

Nepal’s upcoming matches in the T20 series include a game against Hong Kong on November 16 and the final group stage match against Japan on November 18. The team aims to secure victories in these matches to advance in the tournament.
