Ten Nepali Nationals Killed in Hamas Attack in Israel

Ten Nepali nationals lost their lives in a Hamas attack in Israel last Saturday, as confirmed by the Nepali Embassy in Israel.

Of the 17 individuals who had been out of contact since the attack, the whereabouts of Bipin Joshi from Bhimdutta-3 of Kanchanpur remain uncertain, according to Nepali Ambassador to Israel, Kanta Rizal.

Four other individuals, Bidhan Sejwal from Salyan, Brapbin Dangi from Dang, Dhan Bahadur Chaudhary from Kilali, and Himanchal Kattel from Gorkha, are currently receiving medical treatment in various hospitals. Pramod KC from Salyan and Birendra Chaudhary from Kailali are reported to be with their employers and in the custody of the police, respectively.

All of these Nepali nationals were residing in the Alumim settlement in the Sedot Negev region of Israel.

These 17 individuals were part of a 49-member group from Sudurpashchim University who had come to Israel under a ‘learn and earn’ program.

Earlier, Minister for Foreign Affairs NP Saud had expressed concerns about Nepali casualties in the Hamas attack on the Alumim settlement in the Sedot Negev region of Israel.
