The Law, Justice, and Human Rights Committee under the House of Representatives has endorsed the bill relating to transitional justice. The bill, which aims to amend the Truth and Reconciliation Commission and the Commission of Investigation on Enforced Disappeared Persons Act-2071 BS, was approved during a committee meeting held today.
The endorsement follows the submission of a report by a task force formed to reach a consensus on certain provisions of the bill. The task force’s report was presented to the government on Wednesday, and the Committee passed the bill in alignment with the task force’s recommendations.
