Tunnel Road plays significant role in road connectivity: PM Dahal

Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ emphasized the crucial role of tunnel passages in enhancing road connectivity. Speaking at a ceremony commemorating the breakthrough of the Nagdhunga Tunnel Road, he highlighted the significance of this achievement in infrastructure development.

He underscored that such road connectivity is pivotal in achieving national goals, including facilitating convenient and affordable travel, promoting geographical and democratic proximity, and ensuring balanced development across provinces.

The Prime Minister outlined the government’s commitment to prioritize the construction of tunnel passages, flyovers, and underpasses along national highways to establish advanced road connectivity.

Furthermore, he pointed out positive economic indicators, including improving revenue collection, reduced fuel imports due to the promotion of electric vehicles, notable progress in cement exports, increased exports of corrugated zinc sheets and steel, rising tourist arrivals, and the expansion of housing and apartment businesses outside the Kathmandu Valley.

PM Dahal urged everyone to foster hope for advancing towards good governance, social justice, and prosperity, rejecting pessimistic narratives.

He expressed optimism about the upcoming Third Investment Summit on April 28-29, stating that it would showcase Nepal’s potential for international investment in development.
